PAY ONLINE

In September 2008, Marcovici and an anonymous collaborator start out on a book entitled: “How I used your credit card to pay for this book online”. 100 copies (signed and numbered) were then sent out in 2009 to 100 people in 3 European countries, each having been charged -unwillingly- 9.90 USD for their books. But Marcovici explains that of the 100 lucky winners, 2 have reacted negatively -by suing him, and only 8 have returned it. I find the whole issue around this to be interesting; how relatively easy it must be to gather personal data such as credit card information on people, and the effect this has on those whose “identity” is stolen.
