Finally got to see Avatar. All I have to say is James Cameron has done it again. He just redefined what movie making is all about again. The movie incorporates a lot of hidden messages as the war on terror, global warming, love, communication through borders, etc. At some points of the movie however it reminded me of old western movies or Dances with Wolves but in outer space. So there were some bad parts where the story and characters did get a bit boring. But the final quarter of the movie more than made up for it. Since by the time the big battle rolled around I’ve had enough of the Na’vi and Avatar back story. Rest of review, movie images and trailer after the jump.
Jame’s Cameron’s ground breaking visuals is the story here. I don’t think the simple story would have been enough to sustain the 150 minute runtime without the visuals. Overall a good combination of some bad and really great to make it a move that I would recommend everyone go watch. Preferably IMAX 3D.

The 3d Glasses gave me a headache
