This car looks NICE! Too bad they’re only sketches. British automaker Morgan Motor Company has officially revealed illustrations of the beautiful, long-hooded Morgan EvaGT. The four-seater uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six petrol engine from BMW, though this could change by the time the car enters production in 2012.The engine generates 306 bhp (228 kW) and up to 295 ft-lb (400 Nm) of torque, and should propel the 2755 pound (1,250kg) car from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The car will likely hit a top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h), but when driven normally should get 40 mpg (imperial). Automatic and manual six-speed transmissions will be available.
The Morgan EvaGT makes great use of aluminum, the featured material on the body and chassis. Despite the car’s light weight, it will comfortably seat four in a 2+2 setup, with plenty of room for bags and cargo.
