Lucky enough to get to see Runaway at the Sunshine theater. Very interesting film from the start where Kanye drives a MTX Tatra to the end when the Phoenix burns to go back to her world. The film is filled with imagery and heavy message that makes you think about it after you watch it, and that’s a characteristic a good film has. Nine tracks from his upcoming album "My beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" are featured throughout the film. Kanye did look awkward a bit and his acting could get better. However, this is not our generations Thriller, I just wish other artist threw themselves into their videos  and create a work of art. Watch the whole film after the jump.

The film tells of a story of a phoenix who falls to earth. Kanye introduces her to his world which mystified her but was eventually mystified by her. The film uses a heavily saturated pallet of of fiery red and oranges and lush forestry. West’s visual and musical sophistication was balanced out by the phoenix until she returns to her world in a ball of flames leaving West running down the road after her. The film in a way portrays career. In an interview West’s states the phoenix crashing was parallel to the crash of his career.
